WHAT IS COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE?

For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. In a standard CSA model, consumers can subscribe to the harvest of a farm. It’s an alternative socioeconomic model of agriculture with an overarching goal of strengthening a sense of community through local markets. A variation of the standard CSA model is the “market-style” CSA where, rather than making up a standard box of vegetables for every member each week, the members create their own boxes based on personal choice. FM 900 will practice a “market-style” CSA. For more information, visit our produce page.
